Midtsommer (Sankthans):  
​An annual tradition at Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park!

Visit our beautiful lodge on Liberty Bay to experience the Maistang (pole raising), folk dancers, Norwegian street food and Nordic Market. 

The evening culminates at 7 p.m. with a bonfire where you'll witness the Viking King’s Summer Solstice Proclamation.  It's not often you can hang out with some friendly Vikings.

Note: Midtsommer is the Norwegian spelling, while Midsommer is the Swedish spelling.
The Maistang pole raising is Swedish, and the evening bonfire is a Norwegian tradition.  Both are part of this wonderful day's events.
