VALISBLOT (VALENTINE'S VIKING STYLE) - FEBRUARY
Valisblot Bonfire is part of the event.  Vikings, their sweethearts, and all who wish to have fun in the Nordic Valentine's celebration as the Vikings take over Front Street and end at a bonfire on the waterfront.  Gathering, feasting, imbibing, and sweets, all around the raucous (but family-friendly) bonfire in celebration.

Valisblót is a Poulsbo Sons of Norway Viking tradition that marks renewal, the changing of the seasons, and love. The bonfire is a beacon of hope as the days grow longer, as proclaimed during the ceremony.   It’s a celebration attributed to Odin’s youngest son, Vali. He is seen as a symbol of hope and renewal. The Vikings take over Front Street and end at a bonfire on the waterfront. The roaring fire offers all present - Vikings and visitors - a time to look into the flames, see the embers rise, pause in their lives to reflect and appreciate their sweethearts, and feel the warmth of the glowing fire.

VIKING FEST - MAY
There are lots of great activities.

A PARADE
The parade begins at 6th & Fjord, then follows Fjord to Hostmark, through Front Street, and concludes at Martha and Mary. Be sure to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot! The best places are along Front Street & Fjord.

CARNIVAL & STREET FAIR
The event kicks off Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday. There will be rides, games, food vendors, arts & crafts, and more! (List of times & events below)

STREET DANCE
Join us Saturday night on Front Street!  A DJ will play everyone’s favorite hits and take requests. Bring your sweetie and shake your booty! This is a family-friendly event for all ages!

LIVE PERFORMANCES IN THE PAVILION
Performers, including live music, dancers, and more, will perform throughout the weekend at the Austin-Kvelstad Pavilion in the waterfront park.

POULSBO SONS OF NORWAY VIKINGS
Be on the lookout; the Vikings will be roaming and pillaging along the parade route and in the waterfront park. There will also be Viking presentations and a Viking Village.
