Dear Sons of Norway Lodge Members,
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, who died peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the age of 89. We, as members of the Sons of Norway, extend our heartfelt condolences to Queen Sonja, his beloved wife of nearly 58 years; to Princess Märtha Louise; to His Majesty King Haakon; and to the entire Royal Family as they mourn this profound loss. As members of Sons of Norway, we share a unique bond with the heritage, culture, and traditions of Norway. We join with Norwegians across the world in honoring the life and legacy of a remarkable monarch whose devotion to his country and people leaves an enduring example for future generations.
