IMPORTANT NOTICE: PARKING TIME LIMIT ZONES & POTENTIAL CITATIONS (Map Below)
Dear Members,
This notification is to inform you that the City of Poulsbo has established timed parking zones. These zones will go into effect in November in the downtown area near our Lodge. There are different lengths of time:1-hour, 2-hour, 3-hour, 4-hour, and 20-minute loading zones. It is important that you know which zone you are in when parking by looking at the posted signs.
Enforcement of the parking time zones and issuance of citations will begin in November.LAZ Parking is the company hired by the City to enforce the time zone.Their vehicle has a license plate reader that records its location and the parking time zone.Enforcement will take place seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Should you need more time in the area, you will need to park your car in a different parking time zone.If you move your vehicle to a different parking space but remain in the same parking time zone, the license plate reader will still record the car as being in the same zone.If it has been parked in the zone longer than the permitted time, a citation will be issued. The fine is $60.
If you have a handicap placard for your vehicle, you may park without a time restriction.
_______________________________________ Please note that this email is regarding the public parking spaces in Poulsbo near our lodge. This does not include our private parking lot marked clearly with tow signs. As a reminder, our lodge parking lot is for LODGE BUSINESS ONLY. Anyone parking in the upper lot without being inside our lodge will be towed at the owner's expense. Please do not park in our lot to attend other downtown businesses. As the parking situation with the city begins to be enforced, we will be enforcing our lots more as we need to ensure staff, volunteers, and renters have parking spaces available. In addition, the two yellow spaces are reserved for bartenders only. If you are parked in our upper lot before 3 PM, please stop in the office and let staff know you are parked there for lodge business so you are not towed. Thank you for understanding, and please feel free to take parking frustrations and/or concerns to the City of Poulsbo.
